Simple Grilled Zucchini with Balsamic Glaze

It's so easy and delicious.

Ingredients
2 med. Zucchini sliced into 3/4 inch thick slices
Olive Oil
Balsamic Glaze
Black Sesame seeds, 1 tablespoon
Directions
Pre-heat Gas Grill. Slice the Zucchini and brush with oil. Place on the grill until you get nice grill markings. Flip with your tongue and grill the opposite side in the same manner. Serve on a plate, sprinkled with sesame seed and drizzled with balsamic glaze.

This is the brand I use.

The balsamic glaze is available at most local supermarkets. It is thick and has a very sweet flavor. Balsamic vinegar is too thin and strong-flavored to recommend.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I consume alcohol while following the Mediterranean diet?

It is possible to drink moderate quantities of alcohol in the Mediterranean diet. This drinking style should be limited to 1 glass daily for women and 2 for men. Suitable drinks include dry wines, beer, and spirits made with natural ingredients such as brandy, vodka, whiskey, or gin. Because of their high sugar content, avoid heavy spirits like cocktails. Drinking water and herbal teas daily can help keep your body hydrated, as well as reduce the desire to drink sugary drinks.

A healthy Mediterranean diet should include about seven to 10 servings of fruits and vegetables daily and two to four 3-ounce servings of lean protein such as fish or chicken. Moderate amounts of healthy fats such as olive oil and nuts should be encouraged. Aim for at least three servings of whole grains, such as quinoa, barley, or oats, to ensure a balanced diet each day.

Consuming unhealthy foods regularly can make it difficult to avoid them. Reduced-fat dairy products should be avoided if possible. It is important to limit fish consumption to no more than three times per semaine due to possible mercury contamination.

High-quality proteins such a wild-caught salmon, grass-fed pork, and organic eggs are recommended to ensure healthy eating habits. Include heart-healthy fats in nuts, olives. avocados, extra Virgin Olive Oil, and Coconut oil. In your meals, make sure you include plenty of fresh, frozen, and whole grain options such as quinoas, barley, and oatmeal. Also, avoid unhealthy fats and added sugar as well as processed foods, starches red meat, and processed milk products.
